It was started when News.com published an article concerning Google and personal privacy. Elinor Mills, the writer from CNet, used Google to search about Eric E. Schmidt, CEO of Google. Reading the story, Google was in anger. Google says Cnet went too far in googling. The leading search engine decided not to talk to any reporter from News.com until August 2006.

Reacting to Google’s highly publicized ban against CNET reporters speaking with Google representatives, ZDNet UK, the sister company of CNet, today took a public stand against its parent company, and issued an apology for any similar conduct it might have exhibited for its own part in the past.

Google rules!
