International Herald Tribune reported that roughly 10 percent of the world’s population – more than 627 million people – has shopped online at least once. This figure is the result of a research created by ACNielsen.

The countries with the highest incidents of shopping online were Germany, Austria, and the UK with at least 95 percent of surveyed Internet users having made purchases online. The US ranked eleventh with 89 percent of users having purchased something online. Indonesia is not listed in the article because, I think, internet penetration is still low in our country.

But, it does not mean that Indonesia has no innovation. One of Amal’s friend offers biscuit using his/her Yahoo! Messenger and Friendster. The seller said that the result was overwhelmed. Isn’t it good?
